Se desideri un viaggio luminoso e indimenticabile, forse ti piacerebbe andare in un luogo dove vivere un’esperienza unica senza nemmeno uscire dall’hotel?
Ville nel deserto
L’Amangiri resort, situato nella parte meridionale dello Utah, offre l’opportunità di guardare le sabbie del deserto, guardare i tramonti e le albe con stupore, ammirare i paesaggi bizzarri e davvero cosmici dei canyon, trovare l’armonia spirituale vicino alle maestose montagne e all’infinito dune, e tutto senza doverti negare un servizio stravagante.
Questo resort di lusso è considerato un’oasi nel deserto: le ville e gli altri edifici sono costruiti sul territorio del Grand Escalante National Monument e sono stati costruiti con materiali naturali che si inseriscono perfettamente nel paesaggio circostante. Palazzo del Lago

Originariamente costruito nel 1746 in marmo bianco esotico, questo palazzo è l’ex sede della dinastia reale indiana di Mewar. Negli anni ’60 il palazzo divenne il primo hotel di lusso della città. Fin dalla sua apertura, Jacqueline Kennedy, Vivien Leigh, il re del Nepal, lo Scià dell’Iran, la regina Elisabetta britannica e molti altri ospiti famosi sono diventati mecenati di questa straordinaria struttura. Fino al 1971, l’hotel è stato gestito dall’attuale capo della dinastia reale, Maharana Mahendra Singh, per poi essere trasferito alla società indiana Taj Hotels. Gli interni del palazzo-hotel hanno mantenuto il lusso reale e la varietà di stili che si sono aggiunti all’opulenza dell’hotel nel corso dei secoli. 65 camere e 18 lussuose suite offrono splendide viste sul lago, sulle montagne e sul palazzo Jag Mandir, che si trova su un’altra isola. Si può anche vedere il bellissimo cortile dell’hotel, decorato con fontane e stagni artificiali. L’hotel offre trasferimenti in barca per gli ospiti e offre anche un vantaggio unico: il servizio termale Jiva durante una dolce crociera sul lago.
L’Hotel Taj Lake Palace è tradizionalmente incluso nelle liste dei migliori hotel del mondo. Nel 2019 si è classificato al terzo posto in The Best Hotels in the World, Conde Nast Traveller Reader’s Choice Award.
Tra i rami della giungla
Per gli amanti delle esperienze uniche, gli avventori che non sono estranei ai tour estremi e gli appassionati di ecoturismo, l’hotel Treehouse Lodge in Perù si trova nelle profondità della giungla amazzonica. 12 bungalow sono comodamente arroccati… in cima agli alberi, ad un’altezza da 10 a 22,8 m dal suolo, e sono collegati da ponti sospesi. Un soggiorno qui offre un’incredibile opportunità per osservare uccelli colorati, scimmie agili, bradipi, iguane e altri abitanti della giungla senza mai lasciare la tua stanza! Inoltre, i bungalow non hanno pareti di cui parlare, tranne alcune pareti divisorie in bambù e zanzariere, in modo che gli ospiti sperimentino di essere parte della natura nel senso più letterale. I servizi dei bungalow includono doccia e servizi igienici, ma non c’è acqua calda. Tuttavia, gli ospiti dell’hotel affermano che i panorami mozzafiato, le emozionanti escursioni con una guida personale, la pesca dei piranha e il nuoto con i delfini di fiume compensano questo lieve inconveniente.
Regno di ghiaccio
Un’esperienza indimenticabile attende chi non teme un po’ di freddo nei vari hotel che operano durante l’inverno nel nord Europa e in Canada. Questi palazzi dispongono di sale, gallerie, camere per gli ospiti, ristoranti e altri spazi pubblici, che vengono ricostruiti ogni anno dalla neve e dal ghiaccio. Ad esempio, il castello di ghiaccio del Lapland Hotels SnowVillage, che si trova in Finlandia ea circa 200 km dal Circolo Polare Artico, per la sua costruzione vengono utilizzati circa 20 milioni di kg di neve e 350.000 kg di puro ghiaccio naturale. Nel frattempo, l’unico hotel di ghiaccio del Nord America, l’Hotel de Glace, situato vicino al Quebec (Canada), richiede circa 30 milioni di kg di neve e 500.000 kg di ghiaccio per la sua costruzione. La temperatura interna è mantenuta nell’intervallo da 0 a -5 gradi Celsius. Non sorprende che anche tutti i mobili interni siano fatti di neve e ghiaccio e sei invitato a dormire su un letto di ghiaccio! Ma non sgomentare, a ogni ospite viene fornito un sacco a pelo e copriletti caldi e accoglienti. Le docce e i bagni si trovano in edifici riscaldati accanto al palazzo del ghiaccio. Nell’Hotel de Glace canadese, alcune camere sono dotate di caminetti appositamente progettati per l’hotel di ghiaccio. Coloro che amano il forte contrasto sono invitati a visitare il centro termale invernale, che dispone di vasche idromassaggio all’aperto d’inverno.

For lovers of unique experiences, patrons who aren’t strangers to extreme tours, and ecotourism fans – the Treehouse Lodge hotel in Peru is situated in the depths of the Amazon jungle. 12 bungalow houses are conveniently perched… atop trees, at a height of 10 to 22.8 m above the ground, and are connected by suspension bridges. A stay here offers an amazing opportunity to watch colorful birds, nimble monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and other jungle inhabitants without ever leaving your room! Moreover, the bungalows have no walls to speak of, sans some bamboo partitions and mosquito nets, so that the guests experience being a part of nature in the most literal sense. The bungalows’ amenities include a shower and toilet, but there is no hot water. However, the hotel guests say that the breathtaking views, exciting excursions with a personal guide, fishing for piranhas, and swimming with river dolphins more than make up for this slight inconvenience.
Ice Kingdom
An unforgettable experience is waiting for those who aren’t afraid of a little cold at the various hotels that operate during the winter in northern Europe and Canada. These palaces feature halls, galleries, guest rooms, restaurants, and other public spaces, that are rebuilt every year from snow and ice. For example, the Lapland Hotels SnowVillage ice castle, which is located in Finland and roughly 200 km from the Arctic Circle, about 20 million kg of snow and 350,000 kg of pure natural ice are used annually in its construction. Meanwhile, the only ice hotel in North America, the Hotel de Glace, located near Quebec (Canada), requires about 30 million kg of snow and 500,000 kg of ice for its construction. The indoor temperature is kept in the range of 0 to -5 degrees Celsius. Unsurprisingly, all the indoor furniture is also made of snow and ice, and you are invited to sleep on an ice bed! But don’t dismay, each guest is provided a sleeping bag and warm, cozy bedspreads. The showers and bathrooms are located in warmed buildings next to the ice palace. In the Canadian Hotel de Glace, some of the rooms have fireplaces that were specially designed for the ice hotel. Those who are fond of sharp contrast are invited to visit the winter spa, which features hot tubs in the open winter air. Out of concern for the guests’ health, the hotels’ creators do not recommend spending more than one consecutive night in the ice rooms.
For those wishing to visit an ice palace during the warm seasons, you are more than welcome in the Swedish Icehotel, which is located in the village of Jukkasjärvi. Famous designers and ice sculpture masters from all over the world annually take part in the creation of the decoration of the rooms and public spaces in the Icehotel. There is even a functioning ice church, where about 140 couples get married every winter and up to 20 children are baptized annually. Family events that take place in such a unique environment will surely be remembered for life.
